Peace Alarm Clock is beautifully designed, and full of features that make it not only the best alarm clock on the planet, but the most versatile alarm clock available for the iPhone. Go to sleep to the sound of the ocean or a babbling brook, or rainfall in a park, and wake in the most natural, gentle way possible.
Set multiple alarms with customizable repeats, record your own alarm sound, use the meditation timer, select analog or digital display, select the clock finish (light or dark bamboo), and even use as a night light. NOTE: All 3rd party Alarm Clocks must be running to work. You can put the phone to sleep, but don't exit the app. PEACE ALARM Wake peacefully and gently, the proven natural way. First, one solitary chime floats in the air, entering your subconsious mind without jarring you awake. Then, minutes later the second sound reinforces the first. Now sooner and imperceptibly louder, the third sound comes, and thus, over a full ten minutes, your mind is brought to a wakeful and alert state, without losing the benefits of having been asleep. After ten minutes, if you have not cancelled the alarm, the chime sounds once every 5 seconds until you turn it off, ready for your day. You can select from over 20 sounds, including beautiful recordings of the seven healing Chakra bowls. And, you can even record your own alarm sound -- wake to your partner saying "wake up, sweetheart" or the sound of your child's laughter.
Peace -- Wake slowly with a progressive alarm sequence.
Once -- Alarm plays the selected sound once every 5 seconds until you tap the screen, and then stops.
Snooze -- Alarm plays the selected sound once every 5 seconds until you tap the screen, and then waits until the snooze time, which is set on the Setup page, passes, and then plays the alarm sound every 5 seconds once again. To cancel the snooze alarm, tap the screen while you are in the snooze delay.
Alarm Clock Operation
To use the Peace Alarm, follow these steps. Note that we have basically duplicated the operation of Apple's own Clock app, so if you have used the alarm in that app, you already know how to use ours.
To set an alarm, follow these steps:
* Touch the Setup icon (i) on the clock face
* Tap the + button to make a new alarm
* Set the alarm type: Peace, Once, or Snooze (see above decriptions)
* Set the repeat. If you want a repeating alarm, tap the weekdays that you want this alarm to trigger. If you don't set any days, the alarm will trigger only once, and then it will set the On/Off to Off. To trigger it again, set the On/Off to On.
* Select the sound. You can select any of our supplied sounds, or record your own. Just touch the Record button on the top of the screen to go to the Record page. You can also select Vibrate, which is the last item on the alarm sounds menu.
* Label (name) this alarm. You can tag this alarm with a name if you like. This is especially useful if you have more than one alarm defined.
* Set the time. Remember to set the desired time, and don't forget the AM/PM choice!
* Tap Save. Once you tap the Save button, the alarm will be stored on your phone or iPod.
Remember, you must leave Peace Alarm Clock running in order for it to work!
MEDITATION TIMER We also include a great meditation timer. You can set the number of minutes and seconds between chimes, and set the length of the meditation. Chime once every 5 minutes, or just once at the end of 30 minutes. To start the Meditation Timer, just touch the lotus position button. The meditation image will appear. Touch the screen to fade the image away, and tap the lotus position button again to end the cycle. Also great to time meetings and other events. You can select any image from your photo roll as the meditation image. To return to our default image, go to the image select screen and tap Cancel.
Meditation Timer Operation
To set up your mediation timer, follow these steps:
* Touch the Setup icon (i) on the clock face.
* Tap the Meditation tab on the bottom of the screen.
* Set the times:
-- If you want just one sound at the end of your meditation, leave the Interval fields at 0 minutes and 0 seconds, and enter a number of minutes in the Duration field.
-- If you want sounds every so often, set the Interval fields to the time between sounds, and set the Duration field to the overall length of time that you would like to hear sounds.
* Select the sound. You can select from any of the supplied alarm sounds, or you can select Vibrate, which is the last item on the alarms menu.
* Select the image (optional). If you like, you can select your own image from your photo library. Just tap the Image button on the top of the screen and select an image. To get back to the default image, tap the Image button and then tap Cancel.
Now, to start the meditation time, just go to the clock screen and tap the mediation button. This is the button that looks like a person in the lotus position. The timer will start, and the meditation image will appear. Tap the screen to remove the image and make the controls accessible.
You can cancel the meditation timer at any time by touching the meditation icon again.
